Fees & allowances
If you chose to foster with Beams Foster Care you will receive a comprehensive allowance –
What is a fostering allowance?
Beams Foster Care allowance is made of two parts – a Professional fee – the part the foster carers receive for the care they provide for the child and child maintenance fee is the part that enables our foster carers to provide for the child, meeting their everyday needs, including food, clothing, activities, pocket money etc.
The range that Beams Foster Care carers receive could be between £447.78 – £671.16 per child, per week inclusive of pocket money, clothing allowance and savings for the child. We would be happy to talk in more detail about these allowances, as they are dependent on the needs of the child.
All foster carers gain tax relief as a foster carer. As a foster carer you will be self-employed and will need to complete an annual self-assessment return, foster carers pay lower level of tax – your membership with Foster Talk provides tax advice and will help guide you in the area. You can also find more advice and guidance on HMRC’s website, that talks you through fostering allowances.
